Chiostro del Bramante, Via Arco della Pace, 5  Rome.

Marc Chagall in Rome. The great russian-born artist who spent a lot of his life in France is back in Rome after the exhibitions of 2006 at Vittoriano and 2012 at Ara Pacis.

The exhibition is produced and organized by DART Chiostro del Bramante and Arthemisia Group and it displays over 150 works, featuring drawings and watercolours which tell the deep love between the artist and his wife Bella Rosenfeld. This unique relationship was for Chagall a fundamental and constant source of inspiration. Another relevant source of inspiration was the jewish tradition as well as his native soil -especially Vitebsk- which he had to leave too soon because of the 2nd World War. In the exhibition it also obvious the influence of the French avant-garde.
